Ingredients
• Savvy Gourmand French Onion Dip Mix
• Roast of your choice (typically Chuck Roast)
• 1/4 cup beef broth
• water
Preparation
Step 1
Heat a deep pan or pot with a few tablespoons of olive oil or vegetable oil. Add roast, browning it on all sides.
Step 2
Mix French Onion Dip Mix together in a small bowl. (Seasonings are separated in the bag, so this step combines those seasonings equally.)
Step 3
Sprinkle all of the mix on top of the roast in the pan. Pour 1/4 cup of beef broth over the roast and seasonings. Add water to skillet until the liquid reaches halfway up the sides of the roast. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat. Cook for 2-3 hours, using the liquid to baste the roast about halfway through.
